So last week I went to Atlantic City with some friends Alex, Jay, Ken and I went down there and pretty much tore the place up, I made approx $700 in the 12 hours or so I was at the table, I really didn't keep any records of it at all which is probably a bad idea.
Anywho I went down to AC on Tuesday and I didn't really feel at all good, I have been eating rather healthy since my weight loss bet (I will get to that) anywho I ate McDonalds on the bus, and that was a mistake, I get to NYC and my head is starting to hurt feeling a little nauseas. So I decided to take the cab from the Fung Wah bus to Port Authority which was probably a good idea since I felt so crappy. Anywho I meet up with Alex we get on the bus and poor Alex gets stuck with some dick who has to put his seat all the way back, Alex having really long legs was uncomfortable so we move to the back of the bus, there is an old man laying out on the very last row of seats.
I put on my Ipod and try to get some rest before we get to the casinos. Behind me all of the sudden I hear the hold man coughing loudly. Sounds much like a cat vomiting really I am getting a little anxious that the back of my head might being coated with phlegm. So after he stops coughing he starts swearing FUCKING JESUS WHAT THE *COUGH* *COUGH*... then I hear what are the worst words you can possibly hear in a situation like this. "Hey buddy, he taps on my shoulder, Hey buddy. I take off my Ipod head phones and turn towards him, and he asks, "Hey is this bus going to Atlantic City or to New York." I tell him that it is infact going to AC, and he mumbles something and then takes a giant slug out of a paper bag. I sigh, he asks me how far the bus is away? I say I have no idea. He then he starts talking about how he is a no good drunk, and the fact that he found his wife dead in the caesars and his brother was stabbed in some seedy hotel off boardwalk. Then at this point he tips up his brown paper bag and chugs the rest. Then he goes to the bathroom and I put my headphones on, and then he comes out of the bathroom and he blacks out again, only to repeat this whole scene over again 30 minutes later. He tells me his name is Wayne and he has drank away all his money and likes to come down to AC with $1k and see what he can do with it. At this point the spot behind my eyeballs feels like it is getting stabbed with a knife.
Finally the bus trip ends and Wayne offers to buy me a drink I politely decline, he offers me a non alcoholic drink or a sandwich, and I tell him thanks but I have to meet some friends and I somehow luck out and he accepts it. He offers his hand and I shake it despite the fact it looks like he he has chewed most of his fingernails down to the nail beds (really gross), so we get off the bus and I go to the bathroom to wash my hands, and we take the "Jitney" to the casino, it is little short bus that has like 10 seats in it, that gets us to the Hilton and we find out there was an issue with our rooms, and we get stuck with non smoking rooms, luckily for me this ended up working in my favor.
So anyway we get up to the room and call Jay and Ken whom arrived earlier in the day. After we talk to him I suddenly feel really horrible, I run into the bathroom and toss my cookies. So Jay and Ken come up and I meet them :) wonderful, and they leave to go and play cards and I pass out... what a great start to the trip.
Anywho the next day I wake up feeling like a million bucks and I go down to the poker room and there is only one game going and it is full of old dudes, so I go down to check out the pool, then I notice Syracuse is playing and watch the game. I come back up and we head down to Hooters at the Trop, I have about 4 beers and lunch, we decide to play credit card roulette and obv Jay gets stuck with the bill, we head down to Caesar's and I buy-in for $200 and raise from the button to $10 with KQo and get 45 callers the flop is Ks Kd Td and it is checked to me, I bet $30 and some jackass minraises, I know he has a K so I shovel, he snap calls with K8 and I hold for the $450 pot. Not much action after that I think I win another pot and we are off to the Borgota, Jay and Ken have entered a tourney.

Poker going good...
So poker is going good, I played some more Omaha yesterday (yes I am getting addicted) it went well, I think I played some hands pretty bad but the competition is so0 bad that I will be ok as long as I don't sustain a serious head injury I should be able to beat this game for a pretty serious amount of money.
I also put in a late night session of Holdem that went into the weee hours of the morning (5am) I ended up about even but cleared $125 bonus and made about 20k ARP points which are worth 1.5 cents a piece.
As for exercising and eating right things are a little slower on that it turns out that it is 5 degrees out so the prospect of me going out for a walk is pretty much non existent. I am going to go and do a workout in the den though just to keep my muscles from dying. I spend so much time sitting it is unreal.
Anywho see ya tomorrow.

First day of 08
Today was the first day of 2008, and things started off really good. I played some pretty horrible unlimited Texas holdem. Called with top pair on an all heart board with no heart, the guys had an overpair and the nut flush draw and I was basically dead.
Switched over to some 6 max LHE and got all my money back from 6 max NLHE with $8 profit. Then I decided to play Omaha and ran that up really quick but I was rivered in a big hand. Documented here:

Welcome 2008
Well I haven't really been to good about updating my blog but new year brings new resolutions. I am going to try to update this every once in a while with what is going on in my life. I want to make some claim that I am going to make a post every day blah blah blah.
I have two main goals this year. To keep a roof over my head without needing to get a job, and to get in better shape. Yeah I know the second one I have been saying for at least 5 years but this year I am going to give myself some incentive to lose weight, I am not allowed to smoke until I lose 50 pounds. Tomorrow I am going to weigh myself and I am going to go smoke free. I think that is really going to help me accomplish that goal, I need to go cold turkey for a while and get it all out of my system.
I am shooting for exercising at least 4 times a week. I think that is very doable since I am not going to have to go to work.
As for poker I think I am going to have a 5k month this month, I made about 3k this month and didn't really get to play as much as I will this month because of our Birthday Party, Christmas, Job, and the fact that I didn't start until the 7th of the month.
Also this year I want to see some friends from High school, I have free places to stay all around this amazing country and I want to take advantage of it before they forget about me.
Anywho we will see how well I stick to this.

Blah
Monday and Tuesday have not gone well for me. I won about $2 dollars on Monday and then lost about $160 dollars yesterday. It was kind of annoying, most of it was bad beats which I might or might not go into here.
I did make a few stupid calls that probably cost me most of this money. Blah, I knew these days were coming... sooo yeah so far May sucks, I did find an amazing seafood shop not that far from here. It is to bad I can't afford to have halibut every night, I made some last night and it was delicious. I put the ritz cracker stuffing on top and it was super yummy.
I so basically running bad and I am going to stop calling with crazy hand out of position, I am also going to learn how to fold even in large pots. Alright so far still going well though although I hope tonight goes well. I think this is all related to the fact that I cashed out on Full tilt, there is a thing called the cash out curse. If you cash out any money it makes your account get lots of bad beats. I of course do not believe this but it is annoying and if it doesn't go well on Tilt tonight I might switch over and play some Poker stars.

Call it a week
I know I said I was going to post here everyday blah blah. Well I am lazy alright deal with it. We are pretty much done my work week. I ended up making about $650 dollars which turns out to be about $20 dollars per hour with bonus and all that jazz. I will take it... beats the heck out of my last job. Also shortly we are going to be moving up level at which point I should be able to make around $1k a week. I am almost starting to believe I can do this... I am sure there are going to be some days coming up where I am going to want to die but so far so good. As you can see I did have some bad hands in there. At hand 2000 I had basically made $20 dollars for 8 hours work. I dunno the games seem so soft I don't understand how I could possibly lose, but I have been through this before when you are winning it seems like you have been winning for all your life, when you are losing you have never won anything in your life.
Kyle, CJ and I have been doing a dinner cooking deal, we all buy the food for dinner for three days and then I cook it. I don't think that this is going to go over well but I have a feeling the CJ and Kyle are going to be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean. I don't think it is that unreasonable. If I do all the cooking they should be able to do some cleaning. Anywho it has really helped the bank account as we are not ordering out, also I think it is going to help the waistline as we are basically eating chicken breast and a vegetable every night.
Other than that life is good. Going to have a bunch of friends over to play Asshole tomorrow night and then Sunday is poker. That will basically call it a weekend.... Lets hope next week goes just a well.
